strange new different

im not the first person to move to this city. ha. not even close! this city was formed by people who moved here. i suppose each city is, though huh? yeh..but really theres no warning for this place. and i mean that in a good way.

everything here works. its fascinating.

one would think (especially a beach bum like me) that drab, old, tall buildings blocking the enchantment of the days setting sun would make one depressed and miserable. well, no one here looks miserable. and the drab, old, tall buildings only add to the colors of the sky at sunset. its beautiful. i can see miles down amsterdam avenue in either direction..lined with serious green trees, beautiful red brick buildings, and ever changing street lights against a big blue sky. id never have thought.

i am so happy. just to be here and to see that this is happening in the world and that it always has been. and now, i get to be a part of it.

the people are different. or maybe not..maybe ive just moved into a close-knit neighborhood. a kind of neighborhood that i never knew existed. everyone knows each other and acknowledges it freely. idk. its new.

okay..ive work to do..going to bk today for a comeday show in red hook park. also gonna stroll upon a bookstore. get something to read for the day.
