ahh...what a long strange trip its been..is what i was thinking as i got off the plane from new york this afternoon.

the last four days were amazing. not perfect. but maybe perfectly flawed. a lot of downs for a trip of four days!! the first two nights i had to be talked back into the room at some point. i dont necessarily think i had any choice but to abdicate...but i dont need to go into details here. its in my head forever and ever.

our days were busy and our nights blank canvasses...

gabby couldnt wait to get back..i didnt want to leave. god, i didnt want to leave.

i knew the second we got off the train in brooklyn that that was where i wanted to live. not just wanted to live but where i felt i should live. and then after a short walk through prospect park and a ride from a stranger down the street i saw park slope. and then i really knew.

i dont know if it will neccessarily stick but i feel older. more mature? idk. wiser, maybe. four days in new york felt more like a summer abroad. sigh. soon. one day soon.

and now i need to focus on saving money and being a good person. 6 months.
