its been a great summer.

i was waiting for summer to begin until i realized i was already in it.

maybe thats when it began.

it was the summer of shannon. my love. my life. my air. my fucking glass in the foot.

she doesnt work with me anymore. it wont sink in until next friday when its been a week since weve worked together.

we frequented bars.
made friends with their tenders.
ate lunch in the sun each afternoon.
we did lines on the counter at work where food is served during the day.
we chilled out in her hot tub at night. we joked with our customers.
fought about stupid work nothings.
made up once we walked out of the offerdoors.
we stole food, got high, and ate it.
we watched syndicated tv on her couch. we hung out with her mom and made fun of her iphone.
we babysat two little terrors for free.
served up a kick-ass 4th of july for our friends and we did it all by ourselves.
we discovered the magic of mondays at flanigans.
we won contests at aby.

it was the summer of shannon.

before she worked here i dont even remember how far or close we were-i dont remember us at all. and now, im sure that will happen again. but at least we had the last 4 months. its been a good summer. im going to miss her. but alex works with me now. she can be my shannon.
